Exterior membrane systems, footing drains, and corrected grading tackle Butte Des Morts, WI water intrusion at the source, before it ever reaches the interior wall.
Exterior work only pays off if the membrane, footing drain, and grading are all addressed together — fixing one without the others often leaves the underlying pressure problem unresolved. We scope the full picture before recommending excavation.
We call in utility locates before any digging starts, standard on every Butte Des Morts, WI exterior job.
Excavation equipment and membrane materials are staged locally so an exterior project doesn't wait on out-of-town logistics.
Landscaping restoration is included in the scope, not billed as a separate surprise line item.
Membrane seams are overlapped and sealed to manufacturer spec so the barrier performs as designed for decades, not just years.
Every Butte Des Morts, WI Exterior Waterproofing job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
We excavate to the footing, apply a dimpled waterproof membrane directly to the foundation wall, and backfill with proper drainage material.
We slope footing drains correctly during installation, since a flat or reverse-sloped drain simply won't move water.
Soil that slopes toward the foundation instead of away from it is one of the most common Butte Des Morts, WI water intrusion causes, and it's often the cheapest fix on this list.
We also inspect and reseal the window frame itself while the well is open.
Downspouts discharging within a few feet of the foundation send roof water directly toward the problem — we extend them well clear of the wall.
Photos of the exterior foundation area help us plan equipment and access before the visit.
A technician walks the exterior perimeter, checks grading slope, and identifies where excavation would be needed for a membrane or footing drain fix.
You'll see linear footage, membrane type, and footing drain scope broken out with pricing before any digging starts.
We restore grading and any disturbed landscaping as the final step before calling the job complete.

We'll recommend the right approach based on what the inspection actually finds.
Some disruption is unavoidable near the foundation, but we restore grading and replant where reasonable as part of the scope.
Excavation typically goes down to the footing, which varies by home but is often four to eight feet depending on foundation depth.
We'll walk through both options and their trade-offs so you can make an informed choice.
We'll recommend starting there if the inspection suggests surface water is the primary cause.
Larger projects or difficult access points can extend the timeline, which we'll outline in the written quote.
