We match liner thickness to how your Woodstock, IL space is actually used, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Woodstock, IL crawl spaces and basements see different levels of ground moisture depending on soil type and grading, which is part of why we size liner thickness to the specific space instead of defaulting to the same product every time.
We follow manufacturer overlap and seam-sealing specifications on every install, not shortcuts that look fine until moisture finds the gaps.
Vapor barrier installation is typically a quicker job than full encapsulation, and we can often schedule Woodstock, IL appointments within a few days.
Pricing is based on your space's actual square footage and liner thickness selected, quoted in writing before installation.
Under-speccing thickness for a heavily used space is one of the most common installation mistakes we see and correct.
Every Woodstock, IL Vapor Barrier Installation job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
Heavy-gauge liner is installed across the entire crawl space floor and up the foundation walls, sealed at every seam to block ground moisture transmission.
This is often done in coordination with a flooring contractor's timeline, and we can work around scheduled installation dates.
We use pier boots designed specifically for this purpose rather than improvised wrapping that fails within a year or two.
Existing vapor barriers with failed or separated seams can often be repaired rather than fully replaced, extending the life of a system that's otherwise sound.
We dispose of old material and debris as part of the job, leaving the space ready for the new barrier.
Tell us the square footage, whether it's a crawl space or basement, and how the space is used so we can recommend the right thickness.
A technician measures the space, checks existing ground cover condition if any, and counts piers or posts that will need wrapping.
We explain why a given thickness fits your space's usage rather than defaulting to the most expensive liner.
We walk the finished installation with you to confirm seams are properly sealed before calling the job complete.
"They wrapped every single pier, which the last contractor apparently skipped entirely."
— Woodstock Homeowner
"Recommended a thicker liner since we use the crawl space for storage — made sense once they explained it."

"Seam tape on our old barrier had failed everywhere. They repaired what could be saved instead of pushing a full replacement we didn't need."

"Humidity in the crawl space dropped noticeably within days of the new liner going in."

We use rated pier boots rather than improvised wrapping.
We can scope either depending on your budget and how severe the existing moisture issue is.
