We match liner thickness to how your Thorofare, NJ space is actually used, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Thorofare, NJ crawl spaces and basements see different levels of ground moisture depending on soil type and grading, which is part of why we size liner thickness to the specific space instead of defaulting to the same product every time.
Seam tape and pier wrapping are done to the standard that keeps warranties valid.
Standard-size crawl spaces and basements can frequently be completed in a single visit.
No surprise add-ons — the number we quote covers material and labor for the full scope discussed.
Under-speccing thickness for a heavily used space is one of the most common installation mistakes we see and correct.
Every Thorofare, NJ Vapor Barrier Installation job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
We overlap seams per manufacturer spec and seal them with rated tape, not just tucked edges that separate over time.
This is often done in coordination with a flooring contractor's timeline, and we can work around scheduled installation dates.
Support piers and posts get individually wrapped and sealed as part of a proper crawl space installation, since unwrapped piers are a common moisture bypass point.
Existing vapor barriers with failed or separated seams can often be repaired rather than fully replaced, extending the life of a system that's otherwise sound.
We dispose of old material and debris as part of the job, leaving the space ready for the new barrier.
Tell us the square footage, whether it's a crawl space or basement, and how the space is used so we can recommend the right thickness.
A technician measures the space, checks existing ground cover condition if any, and counts piers or posts that will need wrapping.
You'll see the recommended mil thickness, total square footage, and pier wrapping scope broken out with pricing.
Most standard-size installations are completed in a single visit, sealed and ready the same day.
"They wrapped every single pier, which the last contractor apparently skipped entirely."
— Thorofare Homeowner
"Recommended a thicker liner since we use the crawl space for storage — made sense once they explained it."
— Thorofare Customer
"Seam tape on our old barrier had failed everywhere. They repaired what could be saved instead of pushing a full replacement we didn't need."
— Thorofare Homeowner
"Appreciated the walkthrough at the end showing us exactly where the seams were sealed."

We recommend thickness based on how your specific Thorofare, NJ space is actually used.
Often yes — if the liner itself is largely intact and only seams have failed, seam repair can extend its life without a full redo.
We use rated pier boots rather than improvised wrapping.
We can scope either depending on your budget and how severe the existing moisture issue is.
Larger or more complex spaces with extensive pier wrapping may take a bit longer, which we'll flag in the estimate.
We can discuss combining it with dehumidification if the smell doesn't fully resolve.
