We match liner thickness to how your Pomeroy, OH space is actually used, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Pomeroy, OH crawl spaces and basements see different levels of ground moisture depending on soil type and grading, which is part of why we size liner thickness to the specific space instead of defaulting to the same product every time.
Seam tape and pier wrapping are done to the standard that keeps warranties valid.
Standard-size crawl spaces and basements can frequently be completed in a single visit.
Pricing is based on your space's actual square footage and liner thickness selected, quoted in writing before installation.
We recommend liner thickness based on foot traffic, storage use, and moisture severity, not just selling the thickest option by default.
Every Pomeroy, OH Vapor Barrier Installation job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
We overlap seams per manufacturer spec and seal them with rated tape, not just tucked edges that separate over time.
This is often done in coordination with a flooring contractor's timeline, and we can work around scheduled installation dates.
We use pier boots designed specifically for this purpose rather than improvised wrapping that fails within a year or two.
We inspect the full liner before recommending repair versus replacement so you're not paying for a full redo unnecessarily.
We dispose of old material and debris as part of the job, leaving the space ready for the new barrier.
Tell us the square footage, whether it's a crawl space or basement, and how the space is used so we can recommend the right thickness.
A technician measures the space, checks existing ground cover condition if any, and counts piers or posts that will need wrapping.
We explain why a given thickness fits your space's usage rather than defaulting to the most expensive liner.
We walk the finished installation with you to confirm seams are properly sealed before calling the job complete.
"They wrapped every single pier, which the last contractor apparently skipped entirely."
— Pomeroy Homeowner
"Recommended a thicker liner since we use the crawl space for storage — made sense once they explained it."
— Pomeroy Customer
"Seam tape on our old barrier had failed everywhere. They repaired what could be saved instead of pushing a full replacement we didn't need."
— Pomeroy Homeowner
"Appreciated the walkthrough at the end showing us exactly where the seams were sealed."

We inspect the full barrier during the visit to make that call honestly.
We use rated pier boots rather than improvised wrapping.
No — a vapor barrier is the ground liner itself, while full encapsulation typically adds vent sealing and dehumidification on top of it.
Most standard-size crawl spaces or basements are completed in a single visit.
It often helps significantly, especially if ground moisture was the primary source, though persistent odors may point to an additional issue worth investigating.
