We built SGP Waterproofing around one idea: a Camp Dennison, OH property owner shouldn't have to wait three days for someone to look at a wet wall.
SGP Waterproofing is a licensed and insured Waterproofing contractor serving homeowners, property managers, and commercial building owners across Camp Dennison, OH. We didn't start as a marketing company that added waterproofing to a service list — our crews came up running sump pumps, pouring interior drain tile, and injecting epoxy into foundation cracks long before the trucks had our name on the door.
We keep our crews local rather than routing calls through a national call center, which means the technician who answers your questions on the phone is often the same person standing in your basement two hours later. That continuity cuts down on the miscommunication that drags out so many waterproofing jobs.
Soil composition changes how much hydrostatic pressure builds against a foundation wall, and Camp Dennison, OH's mix of clay-heavy and sandy soils behaves differently depending on the neighborhood, sometimes block to block. A crew that hasn't worked the area tends to size drainage systems using generic assumptions instead of what's actually under the yard.
Because we've worked enough Camp Dennison, OH basements to recognize patterns, we can often tell within the first ten minutes of an inspection whether a problem is isolated or connected to a larger drainage issue affecting the whole block. That context shapes whether we recommend a small crack repair or a full interior system.
Most Camp Dennison, OH water intrusion problems don't start as a flood — they start small, and they get worse on a schedule. Here's what our technicians look for on a first inspection.
That damp, earthy smell in a finished or unfinished basement is usually mold or mildew feeding on moisture that's already gotten past your walls.
Those white, chalky mineral deposits on block or poured concrete walls are salt left behind after water has migrated through the concrete and evaporated.
Small stair-step cracks in block walls or vertical hairline cracks in poured walls tend to widen over a season or two as hydrostatic pressure keeps pushing.
Drywall that feels soft, bubbles, or shows a tide line near the floor is already absorbing groundwater — by the time you see it, the insulation behind it is usually soaked too.
If your window wells hold water for more than an hour after a storm, that water has nowhere to go but toward the seal around your basement window.
Puddling near the foundation that doesn't drain within a few hours usually means grading, gutters, or a failing perimeter drain — and it's the fastest path to a flooded basement.
We scope every Camp Dennison, OH job in person before quoting it, because two houses with the same symptom rarely need the same fix. These are the five services that make up most of our workload.
Active flooding gets priority dispatch. We arrive with submersible pumps, air movers, and moisture-mapping tools to stop the water first and diagnose the long-term fix second.
Interior drain tile systems, sump pump installation, and vapor barrier wall systems make up the bulk of our residential basement work across Camp Dennison, OH neighborhoods.
Parking garages, below-grade retail space, and multi-family basements need waterproofing membranes and drainage systems rated for continuous traffic and higher hydrostatic load.
If a wall is bowing rather than just cracked, we'll flag that during the inspection since injection alone won't address a structural deflection issue.
We also insulate exposed ductwork inside the crawl space while we're in there, since condensation on cold ducts is a second moisture source people rarely think about.
We trace surface water back to its source, which is often a downspout discharging too close to the foundation or a grade that slopes the wrong direction entirely.
A dispatcher walks through symptoms with you on the phone so the crew that shows up already has a rough idea what they're dealing with.
We walk the interior and exterior with a moisture meter and flashlight, tracing water back to its actual entry point instead of guessing.
You get a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work starts — no verbal estimate that changes once the crew shows up.
Once installation wraps, we test the sump pump under load and walk you through the warranty paperwork before we leave the site.
We quote the whole job as one flat number, so the price on the invoice matches the price we quoted on day one.
Because our crews are based in and around Camp Dennison, OH, we're not routing your call through a national scheduling system that books you two weeks out.
We also carry Category 1, 2, and 3 water classification protocols for jobs where the source water isn't clean groundwater.
Warranty callbacks get the same dispatch priority as a new emergency, because a repeat leak is still an active problem for you.
Every interior drainage system, sump installation, and crack repair we complete in Camp Dennison, OH comes with a written, transferable warranty — useful if you sell the property before the coverage period ends.
We dispatch crews throughout Camp Dennison and the surrounding Camp Dennison, OH service area, including the zip codes listed below. If you're just outside the boundary, call anyway — we often still make the trip.

Response time depends on call volume and severity, but emergency water intrusion always jumps the queue ahead of routine estimates.
We quote the full scope in writing after the inspection, so there's no hourly billing or surprise change orders once installation starts.
We handle active flooding, sump pump failures, and failed foundation walls with same-day dispatch, portable extraction pumps, and temporary water mitigation.
Cost depends on square footage, the type of system needed, and whether the fix is interior drainage, exterior membrane work, or both — we won't quote a number without an in-person inspection first.
Hairline cracks are actually the ideal time to call, since injection repair is faster and cheaper before hydrostatic pressure has a chance to widen the gap.
Depending on what the inspection finds, we'll recommend interior drainage, exterior grading and membrane work, or a combination of both.
A single crack injection can be done in an afternoon, while a full interior drainage system typically runs two to three days start to finish.
We're happy to provide the documentation adjusters typically request, though we recommend confirming your specific coverage details directly with your insurance provider.
We can walk your specific setup during an inspection and tell you honestly whether your existing drain needs a pump added.
We back our work with a written, often transferable warranty — useful if you sell the property before the coverage period runs out.
We assess the water depth and source first, since active groundwater intrusion changes how we sequence the encapsulation work.
Commercial scheduling is handled separately from residential dispatch so larger projects get the coordinated planning they need.
