A wet basement can come from a dozen different sources, and we trace yours back to the real cause before recommending any fix.
Chronic wet basements are rarely caused by just one thing, which is exactly why single-service contractors so often leave the problem half-solved. Our diagnostic process checks grading, drainage, and crack condition together before recommending a fix.
We check walls, floor, grading, gutters, and window wells before recommending a repair, not just the spot where you noticed water.
Wet basement calls get scheduled quickly, especially when there's active water or a musty odor that's gotten worse recently.
Whatever combination of repairs your basement needs, the price is quoted in writing before any work begins.
That range means the diagnosis drives the fix, not which single service a narrower contractor happens to offer.
Every Peru, IL Wet Basement Repair job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
A written diagnostic summary explains what we found and why we're recommending a specific repair combination.
This is the most common fix for Peru, IL basements with a consistently high water table.
Cracks are often a secondary contributor alongside grading or drainage issues, not the sole cause.
We correct grading and extend downspouts as part of the full repair scope where the inspection points that direction.
Chronic basement moisture creates conditions for mold growth, and part of our repair scope is getting humidity down to a level that doesn't support it.
We ask how long the basement has been wet, whether it's constant or storm-related, and what you've already tried.
We don't stop at the first obvious cause — chronic wet basements often have more than one contributing factor.
We explain the reasoning behind each recommendation so the plan makes sense, not just a list of line items.
Repairs are completed according to the written scope, and we test the system — pump, drain flow, or injection — before considering the job done.

A written diagnostic summary explains our findings before we recommend any specific repair.
Addressing only one factor while ignoring the others is a common reason prior repairs fail.
Getting humidity and water intrusion under control is a necessary first step before mold remediation can hold long-term.
Every recommendation is itemized in writing so you understand what's driving the total.
Timeline depends on scope — a single-cause fix might take a day, while a combination of drainage, grading, and crack repair can take several days.
