Interior drainage, exterior grading, crack injection, or a combination — we scope what your Ithaca, NY basement actually needs.
We've walked into plenty of Ithaca, NY basements where two or three prior repairs each addressed a different symptom without solving the underlying combination of causes. Diagnosing the full picture first is what actually breaks that cycle.
A wet basement is often caused by more than one contributing factor, and we address the combination, not just the obvious symptom.
Wet basement calls get scheduled quickly, especially when there's active water or a musty odor that's gotten worse recently.
We break down each component of the fix so you understand what you're paying for and why it's included.
That range means the diagnosis drives the fix, not which single service a narrower contractor happens to offer.
Every Ithaca, NY Wet Basement Repair job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
A written diagnostic summary explains what we found and why we're recommending a specific repair combination.
When groundwater is the primary source, interior drain tile tied to a properly sized sump basin intercepts it before it reaches your floor.
Active wall cracks get epoxy or polyurethane injection as part of a comprehensive wet basement repair, sealed and classified before we move to other work.
A surprising number of Ithaca, NY wet basements trace back to grading that slopes toward the foundation or downspouts discharging too close to the wall.
Chronic basement moisture creates conditions for mold growth, and part of our repair scope is getting humidity down to a level that doesn't support it.
That history helps us prioritize what to check first during the on-site visit.
We don't stop at the first obvious cause — chronic wet basements often have more than one contributing factor.
We explain the reasoning behind each recommendation so the plan makes sense, not just a list of line items.
Repairs are completed according to the written scope, and we test the system — pump, drain flow, or injection — before considering the job done.
