A wet basement can come from a dozen different sources, and we trace yours back to the real cause before recommending any fix.
Chronic wet basements are rarely caused by just one thing, which is exactly why single-service contractors so often leave the problem half-solved. Our diagnostic process checks grading, drainage, and crack condition together before recommending a fix.
A wet basement is often caused by more than one contributing factor, and we address the combination, not just the obvious symptom.
Wet basement calls get scheduled quickly, especially when there's active water or a musty odor that's gotten worse recently.
Whatever combination of repairs your basement needs, the price is quoted in writing before any work begins.
That range means the diagnosis drives the fix, not which single service a narrower contractor happens to offer.
Every Pittsford, NY Wet Basement Repair job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
We use moisture meters, visual inspection, and a review of exterior grading and gutters to identify every contributing water source, not just the obvious one.
When groundwater is the primary source, interior drain tile tied to a properly sized sump basin intercepts it before it reaches your floor.
Cracks are often a secondary contributor alongside grading or drainage issues, not the sole cause.
We correct grading and extend downspouts as part of the full repair scope where the inspection points that direction.
We coordinate with mold remediation specialists when visible growth is already present, since that's outside our own scope.
We ask how long the basement has been wet, whether it's constant or storm-related, and what you've already tried.
A technician checks interior walls and floor, exterior grading, gutters, and window wells to build a complete picture of what's driving the moisture.
You'll get a written scope covering every component of the recommended fix, whether that's one service or several combined.
Repairs are completed according to the written scope, and we test the system — pump, drain flow, or injection — before considering the job done.

Previous repairs may have addressed only one contributing factor while others were left unresolved — our diagnostic process checks for the full picture.
We check interior walls and floor, exterior grading, gutters, downspouts, and window wells using moisture meters and visual inspection.
Addressing only one factor while ignoring the others is a common reason prior repairs fail.
We focus on moisture control, and we coordinate with mold remediation specialists for visible growth, which falls outside our direct scope.
Cost depends entirely on which combination of repairs your basement needs — we won't estimate a number until the diagnostic inspection is complete.
Timeline depends on scope — a single-cause fix might take a day, while a combination of drainage, grading, and crack repair can take several days.
