What We Do

What Our Basement Waterproofing Service Actually Covers

Every Somerset, MD Basement Waterproofing job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.

Basement

Interior Drain Tile

The core fix for most Somerset, MD basements: a perimeter drain cut into the slab edge, tied to a sump basin, that intercepts water before it reaches the floor.

Basement

Sump Pump & Basin Installation

Every drain tile system needs a properly sized sump pump — we calculate basin size and pump horsepower from your square footage and local water table depth.

Basement

Wall Crack & Cove Joint Sealing

Vertical wall cracks get epoxy or polyurethane injection depending on whether they're still actively weeping.

Basement

Vapor Barrier Wall Membrane

A dimpled plastic membrane behind any finished basement wall channels residual moisture down to the drain tile instead of trapping it behind drywall.

Basement

Window Well Drainage

Window wells that hold water after a storm are a direct pressure point against the glass and frame — we add gravel beds and drain lines tied into the main system.

How It Works

Our Four-Step Basement Waterproofing Dispatch Process

01

Call & Symptom Walkthrough

You describe what you're seeing — a wet spot, a musty smell, standing water — and we get a rough read on urgency before dispatching anyone.

02

On-Site Moisture Inspection

We also check exterior grading and downspouts, since a lot of basement leaks start outside, not inside.

03

Written, Itemized Quote

We explain the reasoning behind the recommended system so you know exactly what you're paying for and why.

04

Installation & Warranty Walkthrough

Most residential basement jobs finish in one to three days, and we test the sump pump under load before we leave.

FAQ

What Somerset, MD Customers Ask Us Most About Basement Waterproofing

How much does interior drain tile installation cost?▼

Cost depends on linear footage, sump basin size, and whether cove joint sealing is included — we won't give a number without an in-person inspection.

Will you cut into my basement floor?▼

Yes — interior drain tile requires cutting a channel along the slab edge, which we patch with concrete once the system is installed.

How long does basement waterproofing take?▼

Most residential interior drain tile and sump installations finish in one to three days depending on basement size.

Do I need a sump pump if I'm just sealing a crack?▼

Not always — an isolated, non-leaking crack can sometimes be handled with injection alone.

Is basement waterproofing covered by insurance?▼

We provide photos and moisture readings that many Somerset, MD homeowners have used to support a claim.

Do you offer a warranty on basement waterproofing work?▼

Yes, every interior drain tile and sump installation comes with a written warranty, explained in full before you approve the quote.

Our Services in Somerset, MD

Somerset's history dates back to 1890, when five government scientists purchased a 50-acre (20-hectare) parcel of tobacco farmland from the government for the purpose of setting up a residential community. This land was originally part of the Friendship Tract, a 1713 gift of 3,000 acres (1,200 hectares) to a couple of early Maryland colonists which is now the basis for the nearby Friendship Heights area. Five early streets were arranged and remain to this day: Dorset, Warwick, Surrey, Cumberland, and Essex, after the English counties. The first home in Somerset was occupied by Dr. Charles A. Crampton in 1893, and by 1905 there were 35 residences.
