We match liner thickness to how your Naperville, IL space is actually used, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Naperville, IL crawl spaces and basements see different levels of ground moisture depending on soil type and grading, which is part of why we size liner thickness to the specific space instead of defaulting to the same product every time.
We follow manufacturer overlap and seam-sealing specifications on every install, not shortcuts that look fine until moisture finds the gaps.
Vapor barrier installation is typically a quicker job than full encapsulation, and we can often schedule Naperville, IL appointments within a few days.
No surprise add-ons — the number we quote covers material and labor for the full scope discussed.
Under-speccing thickness for a heavily used space is one of the most common installation mistakes we see and correct.
We scope every Vapor Barrier Installation job in person before quoting it, since two properties with the same symptom rarely need the same fix.
Heavy-gauge liner is installed across the entire crawl space floor and up the foundation walls, sealed at every seam to block ground moisture transmission.
This is often done in coordination with a flooring contractor's timeline, and we can work around scheduled installation dates.
We use pier boots designed specifically for this purpose rather than improvised wrapping that fails within a year or two.
We inspect the full liner before recommending repair versus replacement so you're not paying for a full redo unnecessarily.
Old, torn, or undersized ground cover gets removed and replaced with properly rated liner sized to fully cover the space, piers included.
This helps us bring the correct liner and sealing materials on the first visit.
A technician measures the space, checks existing ground cover condition if any, and counts piers or posts that will need wrapping.
You'll see the recommended mil thickness, total square footage, and pier wrapping scope broken out with pricing.
We walk the finished installation with you to confirm seams are properly sealed before calling the job complete.
